Falcon

It’s vision is 8 times better than of humans. Unlike other raptors, it uses it’s beak to kill it’s prey. It uses a tooth at the back of it’s beak to wring the neck of it’s prey.

Very curious & clever – clever enough to open a tight knot. Diversed diet makes sure that it never goes hungry.

Black baza

Flies in flocks. More active at dusk and during overcast weather.

Spiderhunter

Pinkish eggs with darker red marks. Good pollinators of wild banana species.

Sunbird

Makes loud twittering sounds. Helps in pollination. Builds it’s nest with grass & cobwebs.

Can live upto 10 years. It doesn’t fly during the day. Weighs 0.05-0.1kg – very less compared to their size.

National bird of India. Often calls in alarm on seeing a predator (tiger, leopard). When fully grown, it has 100+ feathers in it’s train.

Calls continuously tuk-tuk-tuk, which sounds like a coppersmith hitting a piece of metal with a hammer. Can eat upto 3 times it’s body weight in berries.
