Often soaring for hours without flapping. Wing span of around 9.8′. Nests mostly on cliff faces.

Apex predator – it’s presence is a sign of a healthy ecosystem. Unlike most eagles, the crested serpent eagle sneak attacks it’s prey.

It’s nest can be huge – as wide as 2m and weighing about 135kg. Has reversible outer toes.

Despite common belief, can see equally well in day as night. Can rotate it’s head 360°. It’s ear tufts are not actually ears.
